• Nutrition and lifestyle consult: This consult form was created to give our clients a complete holistic approach to health, including not only nutritional advice and how to balance fresh food diets at home, but also to go through individual lifestyle changes and discuss potential toxins in the animals environment. As we know from studying the oldest dogs in the world, it is more than just good nutrition that is the ingredients of a long and healthy life. This consult type fits any dog owner where the dog has no- to minor health issues. This includes conditions like arthritis and minor ear infections. For complex diseases like cancer, kidney disease, severe GI disease, confirmed allergies or similar - you'd have to pick our referral option. In other words: If they have moderate to severe health issues or medical records that needs to be considered, it's a referral. If you are still unsure feel free to contact us by email. • Nutrition consult only: This shorter consult type is for those with previous backround/knowledge of avoiding toxins and chemicals in their environment, or only want some guidance regarding their dogs nutrition. We do however recommend the previous option, as limiting the toxins in the food alone can only take you so far, if the dog is otherwise immersed in toxic chemicals. • Referral: This consult type is for pet guardians with more complex issues and a medical history. Examples of these are cancer, kidney disease, severe GI disease, confirmed allergies, urinary issues or similar. • Referral - Follow-up: This consult form is for those who previously had a referral consult. This one is priced slightly higher as it requires more admin time and preparation on our side. • Follow-up: If this is a follow up from a previous "Nutrition and lifestyle consult" or "Nutrition only", you can pick this option. This can also be used by those who have gathered up a list of general questions that they would like to discuss with an integrative vet without having a full consult (NB this consult is only 30 min).

This depends entirely on the individual. Some may only want reassurance that they are on the right path, and may only require one appointment. Others may have burning questions after the first appointment and starting up their fresh food journey, thus choose to gather up some questions and check in that they are doing it correctly.

Our consult forms are designed for one dog only. However the lifestyle/toxin avoidance advices may be applied to all dogs in the household. The nutrition information will also be similar for other dogs, and information for different sized dogs will be available. If you have a pet with complex needs you'd need to pick our referral option. There is limited time to discuss additional dogs in the 1 h consult, but if you want costumized advice for another dog you can pick the "Nutrition only" option for your second dog.

Send us an email with a little summary of your situation before booking this consult. If we are a good match to help you we will request a referral from your local vet with as much medical history as possible. Once these are received, we will set a time for the initial consult. In the first consult we will go through their medical history, how to avoid toxins in their environment, discuss conventional vs. alternative treatment options, future preventive plans, diet and nutraceuticals. Following the appointment you will receive a full summary in writing with suggestions for lifestyle, diet, nutraceutical's and other recommendations. Holistic therapies are rarely a quick fix - and we may need follow-up appointments (under 'Holistic Referral') to assess what has worked and what can be improved/consider other treatment options. This way we work through the challenges and support your pet step by step on their healing journey.
